Knocked-out Tooth

If the tooth has been completely expelled in an accident, your dentist may be able to re-implant it, but it has to be done soon! The sooner the tooth is re-implanted in its socket, the greater the chances to successfully embed the tooth back in the gum.
Ideally, it has to be re-implanted within 30 minutes following the accident.

Gently rinse your tooth and put it in a container of cold milk or water. Quickly go to the clinic to see a dentist as soon as possible.
If you cannot get to a dentist within 30 minutes, rinse the tooth and put it back in place. You will still need to consult a dentist as soon as possible. If a child has lost a tooth and you worry that it might be swallowed, bring it in a container of cold milk.
