Inlays

A dental inlay is a restoration made from a very precise impression of the cavity to repare. It is done in a laboratory and different materials are available for this type of treatment, such as gold, ceramic and porcelain. A dental inlay is more durable than a conventional restoration.

This restoration must be done in two visits. On the first visit, the dentist must remove decay, prepare the tooth and take the impression of the cavity, to finally send it to the laboratory. When the dentist receives the inlay from the laboratory, he / she can then proceed to cementation of the inlay during the second visit.
