Dr. Cyndie Dubé-Baril, Pediatric Dentist
We are fortunate to collaborate with Dr. Cyndie Dubé-Baril, a pediatric dentist, who works approximately two half-days a month at our clinic. She cares for children aged 0 to 9, adopting a gentle, patient approach that is perfectly suited to each age group. With her expertise, she is able to address the specific dental needs of young children.
Dr. Dubé-Baril creates an atmosphere of trust from the beginning of each visit, ensuring that children feel reassured and at ease. Her goal is to make each consultation enjoyable and to teach young patients good dental hygiene habits in a calm and positive environment.
Preparation and Tips
To ensure that the visit to the dentist goes smoothly, it is essential to maintain a positive attitude. Avoid transferring your own fears or anxieties to your child. Present the visit as a fun activity, using simple and reassuring terms, as if you were going to meet a friend.
It is recommended to schedule the first visit to the dentist by the age of one. However, consult a dentist earlier if you have concerns.
During the visits, the dentist and hygienist will provide advice on dental hygiene. They will demonstrate the correct brushing technique, the use of dental floss, and recommend fluoride toothpaste and supplements if necessary. They will also emphasize reducing sugary snacks and acidic drinks.
Important Precautions
Never allow a child to fall asleep with a bottle. Milk or juice in prolonged contact with the teeth promotes cavities, especially when saliva is reduced during sleep. Bottle tooth decay can spread quickly and may be difficult to detect early.
We are here to provide you with the best advice and care for your child’s dental health.
